Team Canada Names It's Squad

TSN Link to the final Roster: http://www.tsn.ca/world_jrs/feature/?id=13609

"Canada's junior hockey team made its final roster cuts on Wednesday morning, releasing forwards Philippe Cornet, Cody Eakin, Scott Glennie and Louis Leblanc, defencemen Tyler Cuma, Shawn Lalonde and Dylan Olsen and goaltenders Matt Hackett and Olivier Roy."
-------

Notable cuts are Minnesota-Deluth's Dylan Olsen. A first Round NHL pick who decided to play NCAA hockey instead of going the whl route. He was essentially in a 4 way battle for the last Defenceman's spot.

A question that I'm sure had no part whatsoever in deciding, but you gotta wonder. If Olsen had joined the Tigers If Willie Desjardin and his coaching staff might have seen more of what he had to offer.

I was also a little disappointed that Cody Eakin was cut from team Canada. From what I understand he was in a battle for the 13th forward spot with Rimouski's Jordan Caron, Boston's first round pick in the last NHL Entry Draft.

I would have liked to see a Broncos on the team as I will be watching a game or two from Swift Current.

CHL Top 10
Despite their loss to the Kootenay Ice the Medicine hat Tigers were given an honorable mention in this weeks CHL Top 10.
