Linus Nassen Reportedly Headed to the Hat

Edit: Linus Nassen is now listed on the Tigers Roster page

I also found this Swedish news article that confirms his home club in Sweden confirming the move.

It appears that despite the bad luck and rash of injuries, some good luck is finally happening;, however this now makes the overage/Euro Situation a little tricky and may prompt some moves to be made.

Fischer & Rassell Return
The Medicine Hat News & Calgary Flames are reporting that Zach Fischer & Mark Rassell have been sent back to the Tigers

Overager Situation
It appears(not confirmed) that Brad Forrest had been released as he is no longer listed on the Tigers roster sheet. Someone also commented last post that he was released.

The Tigers have 3 Imports
Kristian Rubins
Linus Nassen
Mick Kohler

With 4 Overagers
Kristians Rubins
Mark Rassell
Zach Fischer
Michael Bullion

This begs the question on if Kristians Rubins would be the odd guy out or will they drop/trade Mick Kohler?

Bullion stays until Hollet is ready to go. After that I believe they cut him loose.

Bullion needs to go he's questionable at best and the Hurricanes exposed that. They don't need the extra overage losing Rubins would be a HUGE MISTAKE he's the perfect guy for match ups in playoffs. Williams will compensate for the offense lose of Shaw in 1st half no need to panic there. The goals will flow fast and easy. Howlett is just as good as Bullion but with way more upside they need to develop him now and they will win the division with him.

You are right. I've been thinking about it more today. I think they are a significantly better team if they keep both Nassen and Rubins even if it means keeping a 2 spotter.

Gerlach, Fischer, Rassell, Hamblin should all be PPG players.

Jevne - I expect a lot more offense from him. He is capable of 40-50 points. Williams even though he is 16, 30-40 points could be achieved.

Then the Tigers also have prezusio, Haden..This is prime point jump years for them.

I've deleted that section entirely off the blog, might edit it later tonight.

Fischer suffered a concussion while in camp with the Flames, no word how long he'll be out.

I read day to day, but who knows. I believe he suffered one in his rookie season in Lethbridge as well??

Not a strong game for Bullion. Specialty teams need work (first game - I realize)

Hell of a game for the boys last night! Liked the new faces. Looked like Clouston leaned on the first line quite a bit, hopefully the boys can handle the workload.
Watched the postgame interview with Rassell. He made a comment about the fans being a bit louder than last year. One thing I've noticed being at the games is that the fans are not very vocal. Not sure how to change it, but would be nice to make a little more noise for the fella's. Sounds like Rassell notices it.
