Canucks Send Shinkaruk back to the Tigers

A couple Hours ago I noticed the Canucks no longer had Shinkaruk on their roster.

It has been confirmed by Bob Mackenzie that Shinkaruk has been sent back to the Tigers.

ANON 3:15......
I seriously want to know what kind of idiots sit around their computer and pretend they know anything about hockey and even more so, pretend they are fans. Doty fan - I understand. Leier fan, why not? Valk, Bredo fans - of course. These guys have given the Tigers some of their best hockey in the past 5 years and they should ALL be given the respect they deserve. Then again, that's what a TRUE fan would do. But then I go back to my first sentence, what kind of idiot.....?

Great comments by anon 3:15. All four overagers bring something to the table that will help this team. Sadly only three can stay and there are people who are going to chastise team management no matter what they do. I do agree with Tiger Turf in another thread where he points out toughness is easier to aquire than skill and that's why I think Doty will be the odd man out. No matter who it is though here's hoping they find success wherever they end up.

I've also heard that Connor Hobbs and Ty Schultz have been reassigned.

I'd like to know where this toughness is going to come from? Teams don't like to give them up because most teams that have it use it in there game plan and I got a sneaking suspicion that the Hitmen will jump at Doty considering look at that team they have a game plan to just smash teams and grind them out by far the worst matchup the tigers could face in the playoffs.

That being said I keep getting the feeling that Clouston goal is to get into the playoffs but not a deep playoff run, as GM he should be making this team for a deep run considering they will lose their most talented scoring talent, toughness, utility player, starting goalie

WOW Hobbs? thats a little shocking and Schultz i could see but all 16 year olds they send back? What are they doing? 7-19 year olds next year 5-20 year olds (doubt Hunter would return) 5-18 year olds, thats an incredibly old roster, just dont get that they would let Bradley and Hobbs go through a year here to let them grow

Sean Rooney also has confirmed that Hobbs and Schutlz have been reassigned in a tweet this afternoon, though he did word it wrong saying the team released them.

One of the big considerations to make is that the Extra Defenceman is only going to see ice when the Top 6 are hurt...With the 16 yr olds they are required by league rules to play 40 games.

Scott Allan was pretty impressive early on with his mobility and size, plus he is 17.

Hobbs and Schultz are extremely good candidates to make this team next season.

The Tigers still have 8 defenceman up here as well, which is 1 extra than usual.

Still a possibility of a minor trade or another re-assignment.

With Hunter coming back I think Doty or Leier will play 2nd line at best probably don't want to break up that second line. Hunter, Valk and Doty was a lethal combo in the playoffs. Next few weeks will be interesting

Ty Schultz was clearly the most qualifed 97 player, he deserved to stay on the team but was injured and penalized by Hobbs inability to play clean during a camp game.

Not happy to see Hobbs go! But happy to see Shinkaruk back!
At a loss as to what 20 year old will go. All of them are important to the team. Some WHL team will be getting a great 20 year old from us!

Hope to see the McVeigh Cox Sanford line stay together they are the fan favorite in Medicine Hat.
Koules can swing back on the third line with the welcome back of Shinkaruk.

Hunter plays left side

Anon 11:22 - you clearly did not see him play, Hobbs far outplayed him in every way. He does not appear strong enough (even look at his height to weight) and did not commit to gym training like the rest of the team. Schultz needs to go home and train a year.
